12th June 2003 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 15mph ish Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 19 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived early for bbq and racing at Brog. Have to say not a very good session Arrived wind was dropping off a bit so rigged 8.5 and 150lt techno. Went out blasted up and down a bit wind dropped. Came back and sat on grass for a while wind picked up again decided to go back out. While carrying kit into the water I slipped and jarred my neck didn't think much of it blasted up to the other end of the lake tryed to gybe and relised I couldn't turn my head one way. Managed to make it back to shore hung around a bit to see if it got any better didn't seem to so packed up thought better to be safe decided to stop at hospital on the way home. Saw the triage nurse after about 20 mins 5 hours later and at 12.30am I still hadn't seen Doc so told them it can't be that serious im going home! Should score about 1 and a half stars as I did get out on the water for a while so wasn't a totaly wasted trip. Never know will maybe get to do a slalom race at brog some time soon |
